U.S.-based start-up EcoFlow has unveiled a new portable battery followed by a crowdfunding campaign on its Kickstarter platform. The company says that the new EcoFlow Delta Pro system can be expanded up to 25 kWh and fully charged in under two hours. EcoFlow claims that this is the first battery capable of being linked to multiple energy sources. The device is capable of powering one average household for one week on one full charge.

The basic version of the battery has a capacity of 3.6 kWh scalable to 10.8 kWh by coupling two additional batteries, the company adds. In addition, Ecoflow adds that the device can provide up to 3,000W of EV charging via the charging station, the EcoFlow Smart Home Panel, a 230 V socket.

About 1,323 customers ordered the product following the presentation, allowing the company to raise about $4.6 million (€3.9 million had been raised), far above the company’s funding target of $100,000.
