Charges very fast nearly 600 watts during the middle bulk charge. it does taper off as it reaches full which is typical and safe. do like the features availability on the app and t...view morehat it can hook to my wifi. hint - if using away you can just sync your home wifi ssid and password to the temporary one on phone hotspot and you will not have to reset. the live power in and power out are incredibley clear and useful to know your loads and drain. I want to buy the external battery but the cable offthe side and off the op configuration lends itself to bing pulled off. I would like to see v 2.0 where the connecting cable does not seem so vulnerable. The handle is fabulous, strong and beautiful. the area underneath the handle is great for landing a phone or phones etc to not only protected but convienent off the ground. the light could see improvement in 2.0, it does draw a good current - maybe more COB less reflector would be best since it really does not make a very handy 13lb flashlight but would be better as a area light. I do like that the unit can rest on its back so the light and other face up to shine off the ceiling for a mcgyver area light. SOS light is weak, lame-grade, just give me better levels or more directionality. regarding inputs Wonderful that the river does not have an external power brick for AC (a primary reason for purchase. It would be good to have a round plug dc input to accomodate 3rd party panels. AC fan is loud, I suspect finding a better quieter fan aka computer fan or shrouding internally could help a lot. It is good that the fan is not needed during solar for me so far, however I will be attempting to cannect my 2 x 100 watt Rockpals panels via the parallel MC4 cable (extra) to see how that functions. Solar is not that intensive so hopefully the fan wont take all the solar input if it does come on. The inverter at 600 watts is good, much better than others but I think 800 would be a better option to occupy the space between the river and the delta. Would even be better If I could switch the inverter to 400, 600, 800 to decrease the inverter overhead on output. at this point I am going to see how much difference using an external 250 and 400 HF inverter makes using the 12v DC output. If you have a team that can make this smary inverter, maybe their skills can be challenged to modify it for swichable output to 800 max as above so the inverter can be configured by us "pros" to meet our needs. I agree with an online reviewer that the pro would benefit longer term from a 2 piece assembly with battery being replacable as it declines. something like the max but the entire battery not just the expansion. I could at that point keep a couple charged up on long use off grid and swap them in as well, say a week long hunting trip and still allow me the portability which is so useful. I hope the accessories will follow, the delta has a nice case I would love to see a carry sachel that would accomodate the various cables so I one day don't end up leaving my AC or DC charging or MC4 cable behind - thought standard computer style cable is easy to replace. I would like to be able to toss in some usb and device cables as well. I am considering making one that could ride under the carry handle with 4 handle post tie downs or one that can hang off the back with 2 tie downs. actually both options 2 pocket in one would be the best. I copyright it now, but will work with you all LOL. Over all a great design, ruggid, solid, great design and beautiful display but needs a daytime capability totally cant see it in sun. phone would work in a bind so theres that. I could not see any info on moisture succeptibility. aka mist rain/ fog /frost. I suspect it would be deadly to the device sincemassive air intake and exhaust. a well designed elements cover that still accomodates cables, a plastic vue window, and air transit would be really great even better if it could reflect off some sunshine. for now I will probably use a modified cheap umbrella because we are a inventive and resourceful people who use these kinds of devices. On that... please keep our flexibility of usage in mind so we can tailor your device into our needs and make the demand / capabilities that much more far and above the competition that it already is. Well done folks!!! view less
